CommonFood Inc

CommonFood is 100% volunteer with every dollar donated going towards the purchase and distribution of food. CommonFood began in 2012 as a service project, and in 2018 a 501(c)(3) was formed to better serve the community. Our monthly distribution is currently serving families faced with food insecurity, distributing approximately 12,000 pounds of food each month. In 2023, CommonFood distributed over 100,000 pounds of food to families in the Centre County region. We participate in the "Rescue Food" program organized by Feeding America and in doing so we picked up approximately 95,000 pounds of food which would have been put into our local landfills.
