Headwaters Charitable Trust began our mission to improve the landscape of central Pennsylvania in 1988. Since that time, we have managed many projects with significant community benefits. Most notably, in Centre County, HWCT developed the Snow Shoe Rails to Trails system, bringing recreational benefit to a rural community. HWCT has acquired several grants over the years to treat acid mine drainage and complete land reclamation. HWCT owns a tract of land in Centre County that would be ideal to develop into a recreational public land. We are currently exploring several options. Further, we are coordinating with other agencies in anticipation of treating acid mine streams that flow into Beech Creek. HWCT is a proven organization that has helped to change scarred and abandoned lands to beautiful landscapes that provide many benefits to the citizens of Centre County. With your help, we can continue to make a difference. Thank you.
